Random!

It has been a crazy month!! I thought I would share with you a little glimpse from mine and the crowley's! The swine flu out break has been insane at my jr. high! One week about 40 percent of students (on average) in each class were missing! It was CRAZY!!

We just finished first term! I'm so happy! We also started Christmas music on October 3rd!! I'm loving it! I can't wait for the snow (i know you think i'm crazy), but i am also enjoying the nice weather!!!

Our stake is putting on the musical From Cumorah's Hill (it is not the one they perform at Cumorah's Hill)! It is really exciting! We are performing in three weeks!! Every mutual age kid participates in the choir! But I also got a speaking part!! I am sooo excited!!! It's been hard to take breaks from homework to go to rehearsals! but i know it will all be worth it in the end!!

I also got braces on October 30th!! They aren't too bad...yet! We also have a new addition in our family!!!!!!! We got a puppy!! He is a cute little boston terrier (don't worry he is really small)! His name is Champ (short for champion)! Matt is so funny with him! He stands just where champ can't reach him!! Or he will stand outside our glass slider and talk to him!! It really cute!

Bean-bag the Bear

Once upon a time, far far away at a girls camp in the Uintah Mountains...two girls walked into their tent to find that it had been torn apart! They started yelling to their young women's leader that their stuff was torn apart and missing! She walked over kind of upset thinking this might be a prank or something! But to her surprise when she got to the tent a couple feet away was a bear staring right back at her!!
"Girls we have to go" she said and started running away (which you should NEVER do). They ran down and told the priesthood leaders that there was a bear in their campsite! They walked up to the campsite (don't worry they had guns) and started making noise! She just sat there and looked back at them, she had found food and she wasn't moving! They called the ranger, who had had a prompting to be in the neighborhood, and he was up within fifteen minutes. He brought with him dogs and guns. He walked over to the bear and shot her in the face with a bean-bag (hence the name). She then started running and the dogs started chasing. The bear ran all the way around the camp on the other side of the mountains. You could hear the dogs barking at her the whole time. Then she thought she would be smart and ran up a tree! The dogs just sat there barking at it like there was no tomorrow. Eventually the ranger came and as Brother Morrow put "No more bear problem." And all the girls slept soundly ever after!!!

I'm so excited because I get to see Aunt Shirley,David, possibly Uncle Dave,Christain(status unknown),Aunt Kerry, Uncle Mark, Emma, Heidi,possibly Thomas,Aunt Jill, Uncle Tom, Andrew, and possibly Lindsay!! All this week!! Hope you all have a fabulous Fourth of July week!!

I'm BACK!!

Well we are back (have been for 4 days)!! Its a happy/sad time!! Well lets see...I loved palmyra, it was amazing! The susquehana was really cool(but buggy), it was cool to think that joseph smith had been baptized there! Kirtland was awesome, I really liked the Whitney home and the Newel K. Whitney store! Gettysburg(don't get mad at me) was cool but there was way too much museum!! We went to farm where you could feed the goats, pig/hog(don't know what it was), or the turkeys!! I fed the goats!! It was also a bit buggy! (for pictures stop by my aunts blog at www.wouldbewritersguild.blogspot.com) They also had amazing apple cider donuts!! YUM :D!! We went to D.C. which was a fun but very long day! After going to 3 museums, countless monuments, taking a very long walk over a bridge, to a cemetary, discovering josh was low, walking down to the subway, walking back up from the subway, walking back over the bridge, trying to take a short-cut through a field and discovering it was like a swamp,finally getting to the car, and taking countless wrong turns(with help of our wonderful GPS-Helga)! You could say I was a bit exhausted!! Hershey park was great! They have some awesome rides there!! Sorry for such a long post!! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hey Fam!!

Summer vacation is so great here in sunny so cal. Uncle Rich and Tom and Andrew have both come and hung out with us down here. I've completely fried my poor body at the beach. You think I would have learned by now but nope. Summer is good. I'm trying to get everything together for Yekaterinburg and slowly but surly it's coming together. Love you all

Highly Disappointed!!

I am highly disappointed!! You realize that in 2007(we didn't have this blog all of 2007) we had a post at least three times a week!! We have five(now six) posts this whole year!! I say we get this thing going every day!! Guys we have to stay in touch especially now that we are getting older!! Lets get this thing moving again!! I'll try and post at least once a week!! Yekaterinburg Russia

My mission call finally came and I was surprised to find out that I will be spending the next 18 months of my life serving the people of Yekaterinburg Russia. RUSSIA! I'M GOING TO RUSSIA!! I am so excited and so nervous. I can't wait to get to the beautiful, cold country of RUSSIA! I can't wait to learn more about RUSSIA and the people I'll be bringing the gospel to. We tracked down the mailman on Wednesday to see if he had my call in his loot of mail. He didn't and after finding out that it wasn't an April Fools joke we cried. We went to the post office and we exchanged numbers and he told us to call at 7:30 the next morning (today) to see if it had come. This morning at 7:15 Brett the mailman called and told me my call had come. We drove down to the post office and got it! I couldn't believe I was actually holding it. We quickly drove to Nicole's and got on Skype with dad, heather, taylor, thomas and opa. Emma was on the phone in Arizona. When I opened it I quickly covered the lines so I wouldn't see. I read slowly and was super emotional. I skipped ahead and saw RUSSIA and freaked out. I could not stop saying..."I'M GOING TO RUSSIA!!!! I'M GOING TO RUSSIA". My mom changed her flight and we were able to share the moment as I found out where I'd be going. I can't wait and anticipate the joy that will come as I humbly, ever so humbly serve the people of RUSSIA!!!
