I AM SO IDAHO!!!! I TOTALLY WENT FISHING!!! Ryan Hall (a great guyand good friend from my ward) called me to say that he and hisroommate were going fishin so they would be over to get me...we droveout to the country and hiked through a back yard to get to a river. itwas FREEZING cold (what else do you expect from the frozen tundra?)but i didnt even complain too bad haha!!! We climbed down a fewboulders and then started fishin'. Ryan did it a few times and thentaught me how to do it...i tried it and i was so natural (ryan eventold me so...i dont make this stuff up) and so we threw it in for alittle while. Ryan and i decided to go find a better place to fish sowe hiked through a dry river bed (its like i was walking onwater...kinda) and we went out on what i would best descirbe as a flatjeddy...im not sure what the idaho term for it is but thats kinda whatit was like....the wind was blowing and it was so cold but we decidedto try for a little longer. As ryan was hooking the pole to whateverit is you hook it too, he said he didnt think we would catch anythingbut we would try for a little bit longer. Right then he cast his line(to use correct idaho terms) and then he pulled me in and told me tofeel the pole....it was really tight and wiggling and then he gave itto me and let me reel it in. WE HAD CAUGHT A REAL LIFE FISH!!!! it wasso exciting!!! He told me to keep the line tight and put the pollclose to the water and then "reel it in quickly" i totally did it(with his help of course) and then he unhooked the little fish itwhile i hurried and grabbed my camera (so my mothers daughter) and itook his picture and then he helped me grab the fish tight and not letit go...it was cold and slimy but I HELD THE FISH!!!!! he took mypicture (getting fish goo yucky slime on my camera...oh well) and he helped me put the little fishy back into the water. I had to lay him down underwater and then make sure he wiggled off to freedom again. Itwas so fun and I really enjoyed it...i am making the most of Idaho and I am loving the new tricks I am learning!!!

Ahhh...so the old saying give a man(or woman) a fish and you feed them for a day, but teach a man (or Woman) to fish and you feed them for a lifetime is really true? Wow, I thought that was just good stuff for the Sacrament Meeting talk.
Fishing in cold weather? You guys must really be getting desperate for entertainment. What is next, cow tipping? I bet if you ask and flash that lovely smile, some of the guys in your ward would be more than happy to take you out one night and do it with you. Be careful what you wish for, I will always remember my one and only experience with spot lighting.
spot lighting? Let us hear more!
That my dear is a story for another time and when you are much much older. All parents have some secrets that must be kept until their children are old enough not to do the stupid things that we did in our youth. We all, and I do mean ALL, have our secrets. Even your dad.
I KNOW WHAT SPOT LIGHTING IS!!!! I am no dumb kid...i think parents think that we know less than we really do...we know secrets.. ;) but dont worry it goes both ways...we have secrets that parents dont know about too...
Yes and we are really glad that we have no idea what you have done. Ignorance is bliss. I still shutter about some of the things that I did in my wayward youth that no one knows about. And before your minds starts to run too fast, I never did anything that would jeapordize my temple blessings or a mission. NEVER
i know the story!!! but how bad do u want to know?
